Louis Meunier is a published author, acclaimed filmmaker and explorer based in Geneva. Member of the Royal Geographical Society and the Société des Explorateurs Français, he has spent over twenty years in the world's most remote and complex environments: from the Himalayas to the rainforests of South-East Asia, from the high passes of Central Asia to the open wilderness of East Africa.

Along the way, he has learned to negotiate access, secure permits that others are told don't exist, set up luxury camps in places with no infrastructure, and bring together the right people — scientists, mountain guides, naturalists, photographers, government officials — around projects that matter.

His work has taken him from organising the first ascent of some of the world's highest and most remote peaks, to renovating a cinema in a war zone, crossing mountain ranges on foot and on horseback, and leading expeditions through some of the planet's last intact wilderness. Always with the same conviction: that the places worth reaching are the places worth protecting.
